|MELBOURNE - Kane Forbes|
Kane Forbes is the Manager for Performing Arts - Touring at Regional Arts Victoria.
Kane hails from a small regional university town in Aotearoa/New Zealand. Part of a large theatrical family, Kane literally grew up in a theatre and has performed in, or worked on stage-shows of all scales.
Originally trained in Electronics and Computer Technology he became an industrial electrician, later studying Politics and Social Anthropology. Kane has worked as a production designer and manager in theatrical contexts and festival circuits and is a guitarist with a modest catalogue of original recordings. Kane is currently obsessed with Kendo (Japanese Fencing); constructing multi-dimensional projection sculptures; the entire hour of Sleep's "Jerusalem"; and painstakingly reconstructing a 1961 Vauxhall Victor.
