Monica Main is a graduate of The Victorian College of the Arts. She's an actor, writer, director, puppeteer and award winning voice over artist (Golden Stylus winner). She directed, co-produced and acted in The Warrior and The Princess which has returned from a highly celebrated season at the prestigious 2014 New York International Fringe Festival after a sellout 2012 Blue Room Theatre season and 2013 Fremantle Festival season.
She directed and co-created the 2013 sellout Fringe show Fifty Shades of Black as part of The Blue Room Theatre Summernights season at PICA which toured to Broome and La Mama Courthouse Melbourne in 2013. She recently acted in Red Rabbit White Rabbit with Perth Theatre Company. She's performed with Spare Parts Puppet Theatre, Barking Gecko, Black Swan State Theatre Co, Deckchair and numerous independent companies as well as major roles in TV series Ship to Shore 3 and Lockie Leonard 1 & 2. She's run writing and acting workshops in WA Prisons, been commissioned to create work for The WA Museum and WA Maritime Museum and created one woman shows including The Insect Spinster - toured to The Hong Kong Fringe Festival & La Mama, Travels in Terra Marvelous - QFest and A Germ of An Idea – The Blue Room Theatre & The Sydney Fringe Festival.
In 2008 Monica was awarded The Equity Guild Award for services to the WA Professional Performing Arts Industry.
