KULTOUR 2012 TOURING PROGRAM – APPLICATIONS ARE NOW CLOSED

Kultour presents an annual touring program of high-quality contemporary multicultural arts from around Australia. This program provides CALD (culturally and linguistically diverse) artists with professional development in touring and opportunities for their work to reach new audiences regionally, interstate and internationally.* In turn, Kultour programs grant diverse audiences insight into high quality arts reflecting Australia’s contemporary multicultural society.

HOW TO APPLY

Kultour invites applications from emerging and established artists across all art forms whose work reflects Australia’s cultural diversity.  Proposed works must be tour ready and have had their premiere in the last 3 years. Applicants are required to submit a completed application following the program guidelines, including support material and a ‘sign off’ letter from your local Kultour Company member.

SELECTION PROCESS

Selection of successful Kultour applicants is made by representatives of the 11 Kultour Company Member organisations and additional industry experts.

Each individual application will be evaluated according to the eligibility criteria and the following key Kultour selection criteria:

1.          Artistic Merit

2.          Development of multicultural arts practice

3.          Diversity of arts practice/innovation

4.          Potential for community engagement and additional public programs ( e.g. workshops, public talks)

5.          Audience development: capacity to engage specific cultural groups and/or new audiences for cultural diverse arts

6.          Logistics, ability to tour and marketability

WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU ARE SELECTED

Successful applicants will be invited to participate in Kultour’s 2012 Touring Program. Kultour will manage and arrange funding for all aspects of the tour with the support of the Australia Council, Kultour Company Members and various Kultour partners. Additional funding may be sought according to the scale of the tour developed.
